Newtown Historic Market Day

Market Day is an annual Newtown tradition in its 48th year that takes place in the historic borough streets and is highly anticipated by our close community and surrounding Bucks County.

Market Day celebrates the colonial tradition of local farmers & homesteaders bringing their crops, livestock, and homemade wares into town to sell to neighbors & townspeople. It has transformed throughout the years to feature high-quality fine artists, crafters, food artisans & a farmer’s market.

Market day is family friendly, with colonial-era demonstrations, reenactments & activities. There will be two stage areas with live music, our annual puppet show and festival contests. There will be an eatery area with food from local restaurants, food trucks and artisan bites.

Handmade Hopewell

Conceived in 2015, our desire was to create a Makers Street Fair melding our love of our town and our appreciation of handmade things and the artists who make them. Now every May, we take it to the street... Seminary Avenue to be exact. We like to say we are small, but mighty, packing in a unique and highly curated show on this little block.

So, mark your calendar, come on down and meet the makers, artisans, and craftspeople of Handmade Hopewell. While you're here, don't forget to enjoy the restaurants, shops and cool folks that make up our small, but mighty town.
